About Us

Reliance Merchant Services is a woman-owned and operated business which supports businesses of all sizes in Fairfield, Westchester and New Haven Counties, and surrounding areas.  It also serves business partners throughout the tristate area and other parts of the United States.

 

It offers a wide and deep variety of payment processing services, including Recurring Billing Solutions, Internet Gateway Products for E-Commerce, Wireless Terminal Solutions, Restaurant Online Ordering, ACH Debit Programs, Gift Card Programs, Next Day Funding, Capital Funding, FSA/HRA Payment Card Processing and Check Processing/E-Checks Services.

Mary Kate started Reliance from her home in early 2004. Mary Kate is a 1993 graduate of Fordham University and has worked in the merchant services industry for over 17 years. Previous to Merchant services, Mary Kate worked for a Wall Street Investment Bank obtaining a Series 7 and Series 63.  After an adventurous break in Colorado, Mary Kate joined a financial Dot Com and there learned the e-commerce industry. Mary Kate is very active in the community and takes pride in giving back. She resides in Madison, CT with her husband, two daughters and young son.

 Casey Schneider, Vice President – Client Services

Casey joined RMS in 2017 and manages client services for all clients including applications, funding questions, account changes, account training and client communication. Her great customer service skills are attributed to her extensive background in retail, Country Club pro shop management and IHG recreation facilities management in Connecticut, Florida and New York. Casey resides in Branford, CT with her two young sons and husband.

Heli joined Reliance in 2011 and manages all financial reporting, payroll accounting and bookkeeping services. Heli also manages the PCI Compliance division for all clients of Reliance. She has worked in the past for financial publishing and marketing companies before establishing a bookkeeping business. Heli is a 1991 graduate of the Univ. of Connecticut and lives in Ridgefield with her husband and three children.

 Lynda McHugh, New Business Development, Online Ordering Division

Lynda McHugh joined RMS in November 2019 and focuses on business development. Lynda brings a customer focus with an experienced background in sales, marketing, and client support. A graduate of Assumption College, Lynda lives in Madison with her husband and daughter.

John joined the Reliance team in 2014 and brings 30 years of expertise in restaurant hospitality systems. John is known for providing 24/7 customer service and support. The majority of his business comes from word of mouth from his long time customer base and extensive POS expertise.  John has partnered with Reliance in the POS sector.  John resides in Oxford, CT with  his wife.
