Reliance Merchant Services Helps Kids in Crisis Program

Kids In Crisis in partnership with Reliance Merchant Services, Inc.

“Just as Reliance Merchant Services is focused on providing the best customer service to our clients, we are also committed to supporting the communities we serve,” said Mary Kate Gobleck, President of Reliance Merchant Services. “Our relationship with Kids in Crisis is a tremendously rewarding experience for our team. And we are proud to have made Kids in Crisis one of our official charities and to offer our clients the opportunity to give back with us.” Reliance Merchant Services has donated 25% of profit on new merchant accounts signed to Kids in Crisis for the life of the account.

As Connecticut’s only facility for children newborn to age 17, Kids in Crisis provides free, temporary shelter, therapeutic counseling, comprehensive medical care and specialized educational support for children struggling with a wide range of issues including abuse, neglect, abandonment, family health issues and family conflict.

Founded in 1978, the Kids in Crisis mission is a simple one:  to keep every child safe and sound. Kids in Crisis has helped more than 96,000 families and children, through use of our temporary shelters, crisis intervention services or community programs throughout Fairfield County

“All charities are struggling in this economic climate, we are no different” said Alon Marom, Director, Corporate and Community Giving. “The type of partnership we have with Reliance is a great way for small businesses to give. Not only are they supporting us with financial donations, but with their times as well.”

Not satisfied with just providing financial contributions, Ms. Gobleck and her staff recently pitched in at the K.I.C. shelter in Greenwich, preparing dinner for the residents. “First, we purchased dishes that were listed on their “Wish List” and after visiting the shelter, then decided to provide a dinner to both the teen house as well as the nursery to offset their grocery bill. If we can assist in any step of the process for the children, we are all the better.”

Reliance Merchant Services provides credit card and debit card processing for businesses, along with all other point-of-sale products a business may need. They assist businesses of all sizes in accepting all major credit and debit cards via retail, internet, or mail order. Reliance’s specialty is consistent in-house customer service for all accounts in their Fairfield County office.
